Sulfur & Calcium: Liquid Sulfur and Calcium Polysulfide

After nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, sulfur is one of the most important nutrients for plants. It plays a role in protein and chlorophyll formation and influences crop quality and flavour. As soil microorganisms convert elemental sulfur into sulfate, it also helps balance soil pH, which is why it is widely used on calcareous, high-pH soils.

Elemental liquid sulfur (SC)

Elemental sulfur in SC (suspension concentrate) form mixes easily with water and spreads uniformly thanks to its fine particles. Nano-S S-80 SC is used as a sulfur source in routine nutrition programmes.

Calcium polysulfide (lime sulfur)

Calcium polysulfide, known in Türkiye as “gülleci bulamacı” and internationally as lime sulfur, is a traditional solution containing both calcium and sulfur. It is mainly used in orchards in dormant-season (winter and early-spring) hygiene programmes.
