Shade Gel
Gel-form shading products that adhere strongly to greenhouse covers and coat them evenly.
Shade gel is a gel-textured shading product applied to the outside of the greenhouse cover to reflect part of the sunlight. Compared with powder shading products it adheres more strongly, drifts less and forms a more uniform, longer-lasting coating, which is why growers use it to control greenhouse temperature and light intensity in summer.
Our Shade Gel Products
What does shade gel do?
- Balances the light and heat entering the greenhouse
- Limits temperature peaks and helps reduce plant stress
- Helps reduce the risk of sunburn on leaves and fruit
- Strong adhesion and less drift thanks to its gel structure
- Even shading through a uniform film
Shade gel or shade powder?
Shade powder is an economical, practical option whose film gradually washes off with rain and irrigation. Shade gel adheres more strongly, so it suits situations where shading needs to last longer. Choose according to the greenhouse cover, local rainfall and how long shading is needed.
When to apply shade gel
Shade gel is usually applied from late spring, when light intensity and temperatures rise sharply. For a uniform coating, apply on a calm day with no rain expected.
